Next Meeting:-November 13th at 7:00 PM.

Program: "How to make Panoramas" with Larry Foster

Come learn how easy it is to make panoramas combining several photographs into one large one. You'll be able to take in a broad scene that you could never get with one shot. Panoramas are great for landscapes, large groups of people, or just to take in more of a scene than you could otherwise. Larry Foster is an expert in panoramas and will teach you everything you need to know such as camera settings, panning techniques, stitching, frame overlap, and more. Panoramas are a lot of fun and will open up a whole new world for your photography. Don't miss this program.

The Creativity Challenge for this month is "ELEGANT"

The Creativity Challenge Winner for October was Kathy Ramsey. The theme was "Opposite".

WE NEED YOU to help with the Arts for All Gala, to help assure we continue to get annual funding for our club. Here's what you can do that will get us funding credit:

1. Donate a framed photograph or artwork for the Gala auction. You'll get 2 free tickets to the Gala on Nov 15th (worth $70) and 2 seats at the WWPS table. (max 2 tickets per family).

2. Donate a matted photograph or artwork for the auction. You get 1 free Gala ticket ($35 value) and 1 seat at the WWPS table.

3. Get some merchandise or items from merchants to be donated to the auction. Just ask merchants to help support the arts in Lawton. Tell merchants that their business name will be placed on the item at the Gala- it's great advertising! It's also tax-deductible (you can take them the tax form). Examples; Dinner for 2 from a restaurant, car wash, gas coupon, a toaster, some artwork or frames, movie passes, tuneup, gift certificates, housewares, bottle of wine, etc). Anything will help. Try to get nice stuff if you can, as it'll bring more money at auction. It's easy--just ask them!

CHECK BACK HERE after Oct 15th for instructions on when and where to turn in your donations.

We'll announce and publish a list of all the members who helped support the Arts for All Gala, AND you'll receive a special WWPS Certificate of Appreciation for volunteering.

WANT TO MAKE SOME MONEY WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPY AND ART? Display your work at the St. Paul's Art Sale on 7,8,9 Nov. It's free as we have a WWPS display area for the sale. You get to keep the money (minus 20% for St. Paul's). Contact Lee Alexander (see member's list for contact info).

Member Volunteers needed: Contact Clem Wehner for more info:

1. Make presentations to clubs, civic groups, schools, churches, etc. You can use the pre-prepared presentation "Tips for Taking Great Photos". Contact Clem for volunteering or checking out the presentation and equipment. Public outreach programs are one of the most important things we do. We need YOU to help.

Public Outreach Activities: If you made a presentation, displayed your photographs anywhere, helped out in the community using your photographic skills, or anything similar, let Clem know. We need to document all our activities for our Arts for All sponsors, and we'll put your accomplishments on this website on the "Volunteers" page.

Remember, volunteering is the price we all pay to enjoy the benefits of WWPS, so please pitch in and help.
